| Adela was watching the two Kurosaki's go at it. The two siblings had been training since morning, as Ahatake directed. All the while, Mido was trying to form a mask and evade Taiki's attacks at the same time.

| As he unleashed a mix of sword and melee attacks, Taiki still possessed the grin that he loved to annoy his sister with so much. "I ain't gonna go easy on ya just because you're occupied!" He warned, as he stabbed his blade multiple times at Mido's guard. "Better put on that mask soon, or yer done for!"

| His blade collided with it. With the force he had put into the attack, and the little time the Byakurai spell had to stabilize, he was able to physically dispel it. Extending his reach, he avoided his hand, but the tip cut a shallow wound into her shoulder. With one hand, he raised and swung again, this time aiming for a deeper cut.

| Taiki, straightening himself up, placed the blade of his sword on his shoulder and looked over at his father. "So? I can 'double my power' with my training alone. That's how the captains of the Gotei 13, at least a few, got where they are today. Putting on that mask means I would have to rely on an external source for power. That...." His mind flashed to an image of Adela. "....is something I don't want to do."
