Background

Zoku was born Kirigakure 3 years prior to the Kyuubi's attack on Konohagakure, about the same time that Uchiha Itachi was born. Zoku's childhood consisted of happiness. He became a Genin at the age of 7, Chuunin at 13, and Jounin at 17. While performing a standard coastal border control, Zoku was abducted by two men wearing black cloaks with red clouds on them, Deidara and Tobi. Upon arriving at the Akatsuki headquarters. He was held in a cell for roughly 2-3 months, provided with food and water. One day, he was escorted out of the cell, and was pushed to the center of a room and told to sit down and not move. Figures around him began to chant, after what seemed like a great period a time, a man came forward and placed his hands on Zoku's stomach. A seal appeared, and the man grinned and told him that he was now their weapon against all who opposed them. Too confident that his spirit would be broken due to his long confinement, Akatsuki sent him on a mission to kill some Kusagakure ninja to see how well he could control the tailed beast. After being a good deal away from his initial starting point, Zoku began his trip back to Kirigakure. During his trip, he began to hear a voice in his head speaking to him. Unsure of what to say, he talked to it. It informed him that he was being held inside Zoku's body, and he would lend his power to Zoku. He explained to Zoku that there were others of his kind, some were driven mad by their host and other's worked hard to overcome them. He then explained that he had been contained within the Fourth Mizukage, and had been improperly extracted, thus resulting in him breaking free and being captured by Akatsuki. He further went onto explain that his intelligence had been reduced significally by being without a host. He further warned Zoku that he may be ostrocized by many people due to their fear of the bijuu, or so the tailed-beasts were called. He went onto explain that it was unlikely this would happen with Kirigakure, as they had accepted their Mizukage. After reporting to the Fifth Mizukage and explaining that he was now the container of a Bijuu, the Mizukage told the villagers. Even though the Nibi had explained that the villagers would most likely accept him, the opposite that had occured in other villages, Zoku was still nervous at what was to occur. He was joyed when not only the villagers were happy for his return, but were also pleased that a Jounin level ninja which they had looked up to before, would now be able to protect their homes even more. He is currently guarding the Mizukage to the Five Kage Summit.

Appearence

Zoku has long red hair and green eyes. He wears a He wears a black hamaka, and wields a reverse blade sword, as he tries his best not to hurt people when fighting them. He has a distinctive scar on his cheek, which was obtained in a spar with his friend Kie Joukai when they were first shinobi. He is sometimes is seen drinking a can of soda, often either spraying it on himself, his close friend, Kie Joukai, or others around him, much to their chagrin. He also enjoys to eat ramen and mini-tomatoes, and often makes a mess of his food.

Personality

Zoku is kind to everyone he encounters. He does his best to aid his friends. During battle, he will not back down even if the odds are against him. In the rare event that Zoku becomes angry, it isn't wise to do anything to further upset him, as the consequences can be dire. He enjoys to sleep and tends to be lazy, putting off objectives until the last minute. He enjoys to act in a silly, inane way at times, giving people the thought that he doesn't know what he's doing, or that he's inexperienced. If they question this though, he quickly shows them they are wrong. In battle he attempts to consider all the possibilities that his opponent will do, and act accordinly. Zoku stays calm, but if he becomes angry during the fight he'll fly into a rage that is unparaalled. This has its drawbacks, as he tends to attack recklessly and irrationally. Few things will cause him to fly into such a rage, mainly if someone close to him becomes hurt.

Abilities

Zoku knows a small amount of Water Techniques, as well as several that he has conceived on his own. His abilities include:

Wind Release: Chaotic Maelstrom
Wind Release: Spinning Typoon
Jinchuuriki: Two-Tailed Strong Ball
Two-Tailed Monster Cat : Fire Release

Zoku is able to stand on equal ground against Kurisu Taizen, the Seventh Raikage.

Water & Wind Release

Zoku has the affinity for both Water Release and Wind Release jutsus. He is competent in both areas, and is able to perform jutsus involving both elements to add further damage.

Fire Release

Once in his full Two-Tailed form, Zoku is able to use Fire-based chakra. When he is not in this form, he is not able to use this form of release.

Taijutsu

Zoku is able to hold his own for a moderate amount of time using taijutsu, but is by no means brilliant. His stance is scrappy, and rough. What enables him to hold out for so long is his reflexes. Though he may become heavily injured during a Taijutsu battle, his reflexes enable him to dodge and decrease the amount of damage he would take if he had not been able to do so.

Tailed Beast Control

Zoku's relationship with his bijuu is a unique one. He and the Nibi communicate in his mind. The Nibi provides Zoku with insight on daily events such as interacting with people, all the way to tactics in battle. Zoku is able to maintain his mind while using his Tailed Transformation. Though he is not developed as most other Jinchuuriki's, he is able to hold his own, and with great difficulty, may triumph. Zoku's prefered transformation sequences are: channelling chakra to a monster-cat like arm, followed by his one tail form with his arm while enveloped in a dark-blue chakra, and finally his full Two-Tailed Monster cat form. Only in his final form, is he able to use Fire Release techniques.

Battles

Zoku has battled Kurisu Taizen, the Raikage and stood on even ground with him.
