Folding his arms across his chest, Taiki nodded his head to the side at Adela, a motion for her to hurry up and follow. With no words, he walked with his father, looking straight on and smiling as usual.

Taiki's next action, even for him, was unexpected.

Reaching up and grabbing her arm, he tugged her towards him. Then, with the grace of a tiger swooping down on its prey, he allowed his lips to grasp hers once again. Just to make sure she wouldn't immediately back off, he wrapped his other arm around her waist, but not in the sense to make her fear him.
