| As he flew upwards, he Flash Stepped out of the way to avoid the spiritual blast directed his way. The first blows, however, had caused him to resort to a crouching position in order to maintain his balance as he skid across the rocky ground. He stood up once more, swords raised defensively.

| "Is that what you think?" Taiki crossed his swords in front of him and blocked the Bala attack, though it made him skid back a bit. "All that Bankai does is give you a little more 'fire power'. My Shikai is perfectly capable of withstanding it, as the case with Akiko's Bankai."

| He regretted not having a sake bottle and cup in order to sit down and drink with. Such lulls of combat would've required it... "Are you done pointing out the obvious?" He asked dryly, balancing both of his swords on his shoulders. "It not, please allow me to leave to get something to drink. I'm quite parched."
