| "Eh?" A stumped Ukitake blinked down at the two for a moment, before shrugging and descending as well. It was better than nothing.... "Great!" Plopping himself down into a cross-legged position, Shunsui sheathed his own two swords, grabbed the bottle (along with a hidden sake cup) and poured himself a bit into it. Then, he tossed the bottle over to Kaemon. "So, from what you said before, you're the granddad of pretty boy's hair twin, right?" He asked.

| Taking a drink of the sake he had, Shunsui raised an eyebrow. "Well, at least you should give him some credit..." He commented. "He's got some devotion... just for the side opposite of us." Ukitake could only sweatdrop, as a collateral blast tore through the rock wall behind them in a bright explosion. "How we can just sit like this.... at a time like this.... is beyond me...." He thought half-heartedly.

| In terms of fighting style, they were roughly even. Fancy footwork, reflexive and quick attacks and movements with his scythe, along with accuracy and precision gave Jiriki the advantage. But Ahatake's brute strength and aggressiveness ultimately proved as a counter-measure, resulting in a stalemate.

| Stabbing his blade into the ground to avoid a slash, Jiriki flipped, sliding on and off of Ahatake's back before flipping away elegantly. Turning back towards him, he closed his eyes. "Flattery will get you nowhere." He said dryly, although there was slight humor in his voice.

| "I wouldn't have cared." Jiriki said calmly, tilting his head slightly to one side. Out of the corner of his eye, he would've almost growled at the sight of the two Captains and his subordinate just calmly talking. Had he any less patience, he would've activated the toxin within his body as of immediately. But of course, there were more pressing matters....

| Jiriki closed his eyes, raising his scythe again. "My subordinate has opponents who are willing to sit back and enjoy themselves for the moment. You, however, have no such luxury...." Without hesitation, he unleashed a barrage of his own spiritual energy, focused from the tip of his blade to Ahatake.
