| He swung his neck to the side. But, it wasn't enough. The sword tip managed to slice deeply into the side of his neck, spilling blood on the ground once more. Now it dripped down from the corners of his mouth as he staggered back.

| Ahatake's face looked like it was grinning, but that was just the mask. Underneath his face was fixed in concentration. He vanished with Sonido and reappeared in front of Jiriki, kneeing him in the cut.

| Ahatake rammed his elbow down onto Jiriki's neck and spoke his first words in his Hollow form since his battle with Ryan. "Surely this can't be all you've got?" He asked. "Fight back. Whether you live or die is up to you."

| It was as if Jiriki hadn't responded to the pain. But as he was knocked over onto his back, he stared at Ahatake with seemingly dead eyes. "I don't care anymore..." He muttered. "I have no reason to live, when all have deduced me as a hellish serial killer. I'd be better off dead." For the first time, regret and disappointment could be heard in his tone, unusual for his usually stoic person.

| Closing his eyes, Jiriki smiled. His hand slowly let go of his scythe, which dissipated back into its sealed state. "I guess I won't make a difference in this world....after all." He thought regretfully, allowing the forgiving arms black death to finally embrace him....
