| Aoi put an arm around her sister. "I want a Zanpakuto that can protect everyone." She said her eyes sparkling as it always did when she talked about stuff like this. "I can't wait to be able to use Shikai. I will be stronger than even grandpa."

| At first, Kyuui's first thought was to move away. But then, she remembered her theory, and instead leaned her head on Aoi's shoulder. "...so do I." She replied softly. "If I have only a sword that heals... then what good would it be if my own life was in danger? I wouldn't be able to fight with something like that...."

| The sound of Aoi's light breathing coming to her hearing, along with the warmth of the body pressed against Kyuui's eventually overwhelmed her, and she too fell asleep shortly after.
