Two of their precious five minutes had passed and Aoi began to get nervous.

"What if we never get out?" She whispered. "I am too young to die here..."

The fearful Kyuui was holding on tightly to her mother, repeatedly shaking her head over and over. Tears streamed down from her face, as the seemingly inescapable fact that was death was looming over them. But she couldn't bring herself to say anything, for she knew that in her state, Adela couldn't do anything to help them.

Three minutes. Four minutes. Their life was ticking away. Then they heard an explosion and the rock which had been blocking the exit had been demolished.

Ahatake's voice called in. "Yo! You all still alive in here????"

"What....?"

Kyuui's stricken gaze turned towards the sound of the voice. At first, she could only believe she was hallucinating. A second away, and there was a familiar figure, standing as confidently as the light that shone behind him. The rubble that was the locked door to freedom was under his feet, granting them re-entry once again. But, as she felt his familiar reiatsu, she knew it wasn't.

"Granddad....!" She sobbed, pushing herself up and embracing the man in a tight hug.

"Whoa!" Ahatake laughed. "If only you guys were this happy to see me everyday."

"Grandpa!" Aoi cried out. "Dad did this! He sealed us in he--"

"I know." Ahatake sighed. "I saw the whole thing."

"We thought were were gonna die...." Kyuui sobbed, attempting to recontain herself. "Why did Dad do that....?!"

"He's twisted." Ahatake and Adela said at the same time.

Ahatake picked Kyuui up for a second and wiped her face off. "Calm down though. Maybe he was bewitched somehow."

Although Kyuui stopped her hysterics to a minumum, she still hugged Ahatake as tightly as she could, shaken by the near-death experience.

"Ahatake he was't bewitched." Adela told him, picking up her daughter. "He called me a puppet."

"I see." Ahatake said and turned his attention to Kyuui. "Kyuui," He said picking her up for a moment. "When we get back, we are going to RESUME training and this time it won't be simple sparring. We are going to draw out your Zanpakuto, and teach the BOTH of you Shikai."

That made her almost re-coil out of his arms. She stared at him incredulously for a moment, then her eyes darkened over. "Yes, sir..." She said quietly.

Aoi requested for her mother to let go and she complied. "How though?" She asked

"Pressure." Ahatake replied. "Pressure and the threat of death in battle."

She had faced it already, and she had been paralyzed by her own fear. She had said before she would protect those in danger, and yet here all she could do was cry like a little baby. That made her bare her teeth in an unconscious snarl. It was so frustrating, being such a hypocrite...!

"We'll do it." She said firmly.
