| Aace and Gin were jumping across the forest of the Soul Society. "Aace, where are we headin'?" Gin asked her partner. "We're going into the forest to train. I thought I told you." The Shinigami replied. "If you had would I have asked?" She replied, laughing slightly. "I guess not."

| It looked as if he was dead. Shinta Battousai was sitting sitting in a cross-legged position, under a shady tree. His arms were folded and placed in his lap, and his eyes were gently shut. His chest seemed to make no movement, no rise and fall of the breastbone to signal breathing. Yet, even as he lay there, a chilling aura continued to seep from his person, chilling the air near him. Dead or not, his spiritual energy was still alive and kicking.

| Gin kicked off from her branch getting slightly ahead of her master. "Aace, do you feel that?" Gin asked, turning towards him. "Feel what?" "That strong spiritual pressure." "Well, now that you mention it, yes"

| Footsteps. They came to the brown-haired man's ears, yet he did not move a muscle. His body kept its relaxed death-state, and he ignored his spiritual energy as it continued to leak from his person. The chance of passerby souls did not phase him in the least. With his sword at his side, and his meditation stance, it was virtually impossible for him to appear hostile to anyone. He could safely assume they would simply leave him be.

| "What do you want?" It was a low and apathetic statement coming from Shinta's mouth. But he didn't bother to open his eyes. Her presence was looming over him, off to his side and out in the open. Despite the aura, she didn't bother to try and hide herself from his senses. But it didn't surprise him any: most children seemed to have the natural affinity of curiosity embedded in their genes, after all.

| "Just wonderin' why you were out in the middle of nowhere." Gin replied, moving to stand next to her master. "Sorry about my friend." The Shinigami replied, looking apprehensive.

| "Don't let my presence stop you. Please go on your way..." Shinta stated quietly. But his tone seemed somewhat annoyed by the two Shinigami's presence. By the direct voice of his statement, it was clear that he wanted them to leave as soon as possible. But in the way he expressed it, he seemed relatively indifferent, and only focused on his own meditation.

| He clearly was not going to get his wish. "Does it matter?" The man asked, lifting his eyelids to look over at the man who stared back at him. Although they were opened half-way, his brown-colored pupils could be seen. Unlike his aura, they did not seem to have the same murderous intent, but gave off a more serene look to his figure. That isolated himself even more from the two's wonder, which was what he usually did whenever he confronted someone.

| Shinta resisted the urge to sigh, closing his eyes. "I don't have energy to waste fighting anyone." He rejected, re-closing his eyes once more. "Go home."
